Does anyone know how to personally unlock this phone? I am going to europe in a couple months and would like to use it over there. Please don't say find a site that does it for you and they'll charge you $30 or whatever. I want to do it myself. These sites are con-artists. Why would i pay them when this should be free.

You have to go to your carrier's store to unlock it. They usually have a program that they can use to unlock it. My Motorola V300 is unlocked. It was originally from T-Mobile, but now I use Cingular and I can use any provider that uses GSM and SIM cards.

no theres a way to do it yourself. i think if you flash/flex your phone it would unlock it but im not sure. go to:
