Raw Hard Drive

Hi everybody.

I'm having a problem with 1 of my 1tb External drives.

It showed as a RAW File System. I then Recovered all my files on the drive now I want to Format it but when i do this with Windows Disk Management it says "The format did not complete successfully" and the File System is stil RAW.

So i then did a search and got EASEUS Partition Master, I Format the drive to NTFS then I can access it but when I try to copy a file it either says "Error: Cannot read c:/..." or it just gets a copy rate of 32kb/s.

I've tried chkdsk through the command prompt as well as right click - Properties - Tools - Error-checking but as soon as I do that the File System turns to RAW again.

Any help would be appreciated.

did you try to repartition it?

Hi detox.

Yes I repartitioned it and I rebuilded the MBR.

I did a exFat format then I try to copy something it tells me my hard drive is Dirty I should do a chkdsk so I did.

chkdsk cant find any problems thought it tells me something about incorrect parameters...
