correct and the Barracudas are good drives. but IMO who ever is cheaper is better. a HDD is a HDD. long as there the same RPM,capacity,cache, and seek time then they are the same.

However I was recommending the Barracuda because I think the thread starter is buying a IDE drive. SATA has faster data transfer and IDE is now becoming outdated technology so I was just making sure.
well i give it a9.the only thing holding it back IMO is the gpu whici i would upgrade .
As fo the HD i have used maxtor and sea gate and have never had problems with either and as maxtor is now owned by Seagate then its all the same
