No. That's the biggest pain about buy prebuild. The BIOS is always locked. And you sent wayyyy to much by buying alienware. And it will probably die in a year or 2 because all new dells do.

i really dont think its locked alienware is expecting you to overclock and probaly really dont care because what you paid for

they overclock it probaly.

locked bios 1/10
money wasted 7/10

Alienware is the exact same thing as Dell. It's just their name for their gaming line. Every PC offered by DELL is locked.

If it's an unlocked BIOS, I'll call it a 7/10. I'm not a fan for Dell's strictly because of their presence in the system.

since most of us get our I7 920s to 4Ghz + usually, i wouldn't call that much of an overclock.

i7 920 reg is 2.66 had alienware overclock it to 3.2 thats the most stable level. and the bio's is unlock i askd dell....
