random ? about western digital raptor

yes the mother board does reconize it
but i the only way to get windows on the drive is to mirror it from the other drive using westerndigital data lifeguard

i've got a western digital raptor and when i insert the disk in to install windows i says it cant find any hardrive and i installed the drivers for it to when it tells u to press F6 or w/e.
how can u put windows on it...i have windows on it now but i had to mirror from another hdd
i was jsut wondering

o yea and this mght help the windows doesnt have service pack 2 on it

Once you load the drivers for the SATA by pressing F6, it should be able to detect the drive. Is the BIOS detecting the SATA hard drive? I am assuming so, since you say you mirror from another hard drive. Now it boots? If so, that is very strange. Could possibly be a currupt driver for the SATA on the floppy? On the CD? Was currupted during loading? There are some factors involved, although I think it was a fluke.
