Default ramm question

my mother board is a Z68AP-D3
currently running Corsair 2 x4gb DDR3 1333 MHz

was thinking of up grading to
HyperX Savage 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) 2400 MHz DDR3 CL11 UDIMM XMP Memory Module

I'm not all that tech friendly so asking for help
are the new ram compatible with my mother board or?
thanks in advance

I believe that it would work, but would run at at clock speed of 2133mhz, since that is the highest your motherboard will support.

Remember to enable X.M.P in the BIOS under advanced memory configure/memory configurations or whatever it's called for your motherboard - otherwise it will run at 1333 which is the default...
