Which ram would be faster for my laptop?

I have a Hp Pavilion G7-1350DX. The laptop at default has a 4gb 800mhz stick of ram. I have a 2gb stick of ram from a toshiba laptop. It runs at 533mhz. If I add the 2gb stick then that would limit the 4gb stick to 533mhz. If I were to add the 2gb ram stick, would there be a noticeable difference in performance in games or programs? The computer has a Windows 7 64-bit os already so I would be able to take use of the extra ram. I have a tendancy to multi-task and some times leave multiple programs open so the extra ram would be of use. I dont know any more specs on the ram. The cpu is a AMD A6-3420m. If anyone needs to know more I can try to give the answers. I got the mhz reading from cpu-z. The 2gb stick is pc3-8500. The 4gb stick is pc3-12800.

one of two things will happen...

1. they will both run at the slower freq.... or

2. wont work at all together.

best bet is to get another 4GB at 800. matched pairs work best

Try using Use the Crucial System Scanner software to find out what type of memory is in your computer, It is very good at giving you information on ram, What slots are free for new ram to go into and can recommend ram.
