Ram and video card questions

HI, just clarifying a few things before i start buying the intergral components for my chirstmas build

1. what is the performance difference between pc 6400 and pc 8500 RAM, basicly, is it worth £15 quid between two our gig kits

2. whats the performance difference between RAM at 5-5-5-15 and 4-4-4-12, again, is it massive, is it noticable.

2. whats the performance difference between a 2gig 4850 and a 1gig 4870, is it worth £65. this is the difference when playing graphic intensive games on a quad core woth 4 gig of ram btw

For Intel CPUs - NO
For Phenom - Yes.

2. whats the performance difference between RAM at 5-5-5-15 and 4-4-4-12, again, is it massive, is it noticable.

~0, but it can give you some extra overclocking headroom on the RAM.

Forget the 2GB HD 4850... completely. Only pay about 10% more for a 1GB HD 4850 over a 512MB, same for the HD 4870.

i would get the HD 4850 because it only offers a little bit of performance, but that could be good if your a gamer. About 2 or 3 FPS increase i believe, but i may be wrong
