Default Ram and video card questions

HI, just clarifying a few things before i start buying the intergral components for my chirstmas build

1. what is the performance difference between pc 6400 and pc 8500 RAM, basicly, is it worth 15 quid between two our gig kits

2. whats the performance difference between RAM at 5-5-5-15 and 4-4-4-12, again, is it massive, is it noticable.

2. whats the performance difference between a 2gig 4850 and a 1gig 4870, is it worth 65. this is the difference when playing graphic intensive games on a quad core woth 4 gig of ram btw

thanks, answers to any would be great

For Intel CPUs - NO
For Phenom - Yes.

~0, but it can give you some extra overclocking headroom on the RAM.

Forget the 2GB HD 4850... completely. Only pay about 10% more for a 1GB HD 4850 over a 512MB, same for the HD 4870.

i would get the HD 4850 because it only offers a little bit of performance, but that could be good if your a gamer. About 2 or 3 FPS increase i believe, but i may be wrong
