Default Re: RAM upgrading problems

Ok, i have stuck a 128MB RAM which my freind gave me, and when i go into the BIOS configuartion, it says that, my 512MB is a DDR266 which was orginally a DDR333. Is this because the 128MB RAM was a DDR266?

Yes the RAM will only work as fast as the fastest stick, so anything faster will be downclocked
