Ram Upgrade (Intel 3000)

So about 2 years ago I bought a sc440. BAD IDEA. All the dell certified crap ram in it died, and theres only the 2gb of random brand ram in it.(Hynix, maybe kingston, idk) I am trying to run windows 7 on it, and its just not working well. The Intel 3000 supports non ECC ddr2, whcih i have a crapload laying around. I tried it out, and it posted, and then it came up with a message saying that I cannot use this ram because "its not supported". Is there a way to bypass another dell retard block so I can use my 4gb?
