Question RAM Upgrade

I have a Dell laptop and i want to upgrade it's RAM, but the website says the max RAM is 2gb witch is what is currently installed. I was wondering if i could install more RAM anyways and if not what other parts of the laptop need to be upgraded in order to allow more RAM?

What is the model number of the laptop?

There are no user serviceable parts inside the laptop that can be replaced to allow for adding more memory past it's maximum.

The laptop is a Dell Vostro 1000. I was doing more research into this last night and it looks like it would end up costing more then the laptop to do and it might not be possible at all if the parts are soldered to the motherboard. Thanks for the reply.
