Default RAM Timings?

Are the RAM latency timings supposed to differ from the advertised timings to the real thing?

The advertised timings are: 2-3-3-6 and I get: 3.0-3-3-8.

Bump.

So is it plausible to go into the BIO to modify my RAM timings if they're not what they're suppose to be?

yes it is possible, just remember to use the same voltage as the RAM manufacturer specifies.

Well, I looked at my BIOS, but there was no option to change the memory timings. Do I need a BIOS Update?

Never mind, I found it.
