Ram Speed

Hey my mothrboard supports PC2700 speed(333mhz) for the ram. I wanna get more ram. Can i get a PC3200(400 mhz) and make it still work at 333mhz? or do i have to get it at the exact speed?

You can get it, but it will only run at the speeds of PC-2700 since that is what your motherboard is capable of. To get your full 400 MHz, you would need to upgrade your motherboard.

yes it will work. But the only reasons to do it IMO is if it's cheaper or you are going to oc.

Just buy the pc 2700 ram, it will most likely be cheaper. Pc 3200 will be running at 333 mhz anyway so it's a waste of money.
