Default Ram Question

I have a Inspiron 1545 laptop and would like to upgrade the ram in it from 4gb to 8gb. I have read online that it can support 8gb but i have also read that it cannot. Does anyone know for certain if it can?

Run the Crucial system scanner and it will tell you how much and what type ram you need

Thanks, figured out exactly what i needed and ordered my new chips, should be in in 8-10 days.
