Lightbulb Ram Question

i have 4 slots on my computer for ram. i have only taken 1 up by a 1gb stick (the first one). if i add another 1gb stick (1 stick) which slot do i put it in? my motherboard is the M2N8-VMX

tell me which slot to put it in as the left yellow slot is number 1. and the left black slot is number 3.

i think it supposed to go into the same color slot.......just read your manual that came with the board it will tell you what slot it should go in.my guess is slot 1 and 2 match up and slot 3 and 4 go together

Yea put it next to the other gig slot, that would be fine. Like if you put two sets of 512 in, you stick them together? Same principle I would of thought

ohh does that board support duel channel if not it dosent matter where you put it.

Put one stick in the first black slot and one stick in the first yellow slot. That way it's running in dual channel.
