Default RAM question

Ok so i have DDR400 RAM and when i turn my computer on it says my RAM is running at 400MHZ but how come when i run CPUZ it say it is running at 200MHZ? is there a multiplyer for RAM like there is for the CPU?

It says 240 because my computer is over clocked. So dose this mean my RAM is running at 480MHZ?

Motherboard - ASUS P4P800 SE / Intel P4 3.0Ghz @ 3.6Ghz w/ HT 800Mhz FSB @ 960Mhz
RAM -1gig (512x2) GeIL PC3200 In Dual Chan @ 480Mhz
GPU - PNY GeForce 6600GT 128MB GDDR3 (500mhz Core @ 550mhz / 900mhz @ 1000mhz memory)
Sound Card - Creative Labs Audigy 2 Value
Harddrives - Seagate 300GB SATA150 / WD 120gb 3DMark03 Score- 8685 3DMark05 Score - 3392 AquaMark3 Score - 52,275

Maybe it only posted the info for one of the channels. Do u have a 2x512mb RAM or a 1x1024mb RAM. Because 240+240=480.

Yes, DDR is DOUBLE data rate. All speeds are multiplied by two.
Athlon FX-55 San Diego 2.6GhZ OCed to 3.0GhZ | Mushkin Redline XP 2x1GB PC4000 DDR500 3-3-2-8 OCed to 250MhZ | Seagate Barracuda SATA 400GB 7200RPM HDD | evGA GeForce 6800GT 350/1000 OCed to 425/1150

*sigh look at the name ddr what does it stand for? dual data rate so that means its running at 200mhz but acts as 400 since it does 2 things per clock
