Most motherboard are dual channel now

Hmm... are you bothered about SLI (putting 2 graphics cards in together of the same model?)

If not, I'd be very pushed to recommending you a P35 board, which will be able to overclock that Quad Q6600 like crazy.

There may be more up to date boards out now though that may last longer, and overclock just as well, but we'll see what other members suggest.

you said you got one stick of ram to work, did you try switching the two sticks round as when I mixed ram brands once it would on recognize both sticks if they where in the correct order

nope, didnt work
i only get the statup error when there is a ram stick in the second slot

its the mobo its a pos!
