Hey

Ok, recently built a new pc. Everything is worked fine, apart from the ram, which is running at 800mhz and not the stated 1066mhz. I hvae read on other sites that you need to alter some of the settings in the bios. Attempted to do that, Can boot into vista (64 bit) but it crashes after a minute with a blue screen (Sorry, didn't get what it said).
Im just wonderingwhat parameters i need to use to get it working at 1066mhz. I am using an Asus Extreme Striker mobo and http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/ocz_ddr2_pc2_8500_reaper_hpc_edition. The CPU is Core 2 duo E6700.
Thanks

Edit: Forgot to mention that when i change the settings back to what they were before, it boots and has no problems on Vista

Hmm... well maybe they short changed you and gave you 800 MHZ RAM. Unlikely, but possible. Second, in the bios you need to change the clock frequency and maybe a few other settings to be up to the max. I don't know that motherboard, but in mine, it is under advanced setup in the bios.
