Default RAM OVerclocking Question

Is there a way to change the latency of the ram without using the BIOS and without overriding it either, (i have a gateway), Write speed and read speed, is very fast, but latency is 3-3-3-8 instead of being 2-3-3-6

No, the cas latency of the memory is a physical characteristic of the RAM and you cannot change it. Only way to improve it is to buy lower cas latency type which depending on the type you have can be very expensive. If you are going to buy faster memory sticks, buy a large figure like 512 Meg stick or more and don't mix them with the lower ones, cause you will be creating a bottleneck.
Asus P4P800 SE
Intel P4 3.2 Gig 1024 Meg PC3200 cas latency 2.5
RAID 0 2-36.7 Gig SATA WD 10,000 RPM
6500 Kb bandwith Internet Connection
