Default Is this RAM or Motherboard problem?

Okay...So, I have a RAM which is 256mb. But now every time I right-click My Computer and select Properties it shows that i only have 224mb of RAM

So, is this a bad RAM or the motherboard is not detecting the right amount of RAM?

Odds are, both are fine.

Depending on your computer your RAM can be allocated for extra video RAM or maybe even for the audio card. I wouldn't worry about it.

Is there a graphic card using shared memory? So maybe the graphic card uses the missing RAM.
