So i have been looking around for some new ram, and i found some Kingston ram for pretty cheap. i have never really had to deal with ram before so i got 2 questions. is Kingston a good name when it comes to ram? and what is the difference between high density and low density ram? and how would i check if my mobo is compatible with high density ram?

Do you have links to the ram you are looking at? Also if you can tell us what kind of mother board you have that will also help us help you :)

Asus A7N266-VM Socket A motherboard. It's getting long in the tooth.

Anyways I think the board supports 1GB per DIMM slot. So that'll be 2GB max.

Besides i'm not sure they do 4GB DDR Ram sticks.

yeaah thats the one Asus A7n266
lol its old, but it does the job.
i dont have to much money, gonna be building a sweet system soon for editing my photography on :)

thanks for the tip, but mind explaining why?

Well i was told by someone i trust as my teacher and computer tech.
Fill all slots. but as you see it costs more.

Mmm... Whose your teacher/computer tech' then? I'd ? this.

It isn't necessary although it's a good idea to use dual/triple channel RAM where necessary. And even then you won't hurt your system if you don't.
