I'm not qutie sure what you mean by RAM going for vid use.

But 32-Bit OS can identify upto 4G and less RAM.

Smile Re: RAM help

Soory this is what I ment to say

I use win xp pro 32 Bit verson.
And I have my BIOS set to just use 64 MB of my Main Memory for my Onboard Video no more.

Now I have TWO stick of 2. GB of RAM in my system.
So that is 4. GB Total.

Wen I right click my computer Icone and go into Properties.
It says I have 3 . 50 GB of RAM

Now I now that when you have Onboard Video it will Take the Video RAM out and show you the Totle that is left.

So is 3 . 50 GB right??????????????????

Does it say 3.5GB RAM or does it say "4GB RAM (3.5GB Usable)"?

XP doesn't see all 4 gigs. It was only starting in Vista where it would show total(Usable)

If you are seeing 3.5, that's about right.
