Hi, i have 2 ports on a 4 port system that have failed and are causing errors.

These are B1 AND B2

However the two slots are different colours.

Does this mean i wont be getting dual channel as the cards are in A1 and A2 and not in the same colour slots ?

2 blue and 2 black I assume. The 2 blue are one pair and the 2 black are the other. If you put matched pairs in A1 blue and A2 black you'll get dual channel on that pair. Something's happened to your memory manager. Do you have the latest chipset drivers?

Thats what i thought however the A1 is blue and the A2 is black ?

What do you go by the numbers or the colour ?

Just checked with cpu-z and im running single channel as they are in different colour slots.

The markings don't make sense then. Nevermind

Here's another question, How can the second slot of each colour ram slot go bad and cause errors ?
