ram compatibility !!!!!!

ok so im wanting to upgrade my ram on a budget i want to know if you can mix ram brands...i have this mb http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813135223

with this ram already installed

will it work?

also how big of a performance gain am i going to see going from one to 2 gigs of ram? please help as i might order tonight or tomorrow

Yes it will work just fine. Maybe in some games and bulky applications, you will see a difference. Anything else, you will barely notice it.

i do a lot of photo shop work and things like that and i also play oblivion here and there i love it but im horrible at it lol.....

would i be better off upgrading my mb to one that can use a core 2 duo and sli or keeping mine? the one i have now was probably the cheapest one new egg had at the time lol
