What's the Processor? Sometimes however much RAM you put in there it won't make it faster.

Usually with a pretty new (within 1 year) processer, addional ram can much improve the performance.

I still have a old 666mhz celeron on this PC, runs windows xp fine (but crashed a lot and slow but hey) ,with 64meg ram, now I have 320meg, it's quite fast and fine for pottering about the web. With a faster processer, if there is more ram than when the computer was first built, more than likley that the performance will be increased.
