I have a 184pin mother board and I bought 1g of 240pin ram... its not gonna fit right?

Nope, 184 is DDR, 240 is DDR2

Newegg has a 30 day refunding option with most products. However, you have to pay a 15% restocking fee.

I have another question, is this ram any good? the reviews look terrible. If not what 184pin 1gig of ram should I get thats around $70-$80?

actually 2 sticks can help you in performance.

If your motherboard supports Dual Channel Ram, having 2 sticks running in dual channel would be a performance increase over having a single stick
