I was wondering does ram hold memory when its taken out of a pc?

..itll only work if you have the ram in your computer..if u take it out, then it just wont show up anymore

RAM only holds memory/data wen the pc is switched on, wen its switched off then all the data which was on the RAM gets cleared, so if u take the RAM out there is nothin on there

RAM is Volatile - meaning that when the power is switched off, i.e. the PC shut down, the memory is erased. So, it won't hold the data, no.

Just as stated above ram only can hole anything while it is in the computer and the computer is switched on

Ram needs electricity to store data, unlike a hard drive.

What there all trying to say is, (RAM) Stands for Random Access Memory basicly it stores only when an application or any application is running, it's what runs the programme, then as you switch it off it is erased. hence the Random part of it.
