Yes, it destroys the 285 and trades blows with the 295.

We don't know when Nvidia's chips will be ready. Most of the rumours have been very negative (Q1 2010), but hopefully Nvidia can get them out sooner so that ATi are brought back down to earth. HD 5870 X2 should be be ready by then though

and it depends on what you want, and um sure teh 300 series will be matcho more expensive.

when in doubt, get an X2 lol

Dirt 2 is directx 11.. it comes free wth the sapphire 5870 on newegg when its back in stock

Battleforge is DX11 and is available. DIRT 2 is the title ATi is really pushing.
