x800 pro is basically an XT with 4 pipes locked.

yeah go with the 6800 GT. its about the same price as the X800 Pro, but it has 4 more pipelines. the X800 Pro has 12 pipelines while the 6800 GT has 16 pipelines for the about same price

Boll*cks to all of you nay-sayers... The 9800XT is a magnificent card, though I'd say you can find it cheaper. I got a generic version of the card for under £200 shipped, its brilliant, ran Doom 3 at 1024x768 single handedly no probs. In my opinion go for it!
