ok have you installed it? Make sure you select FireFox or Mozilla when you are installing

The weird thing is though, it shouldn't be anything to do with Quicktime...

No it shouldnt, quicktime just tried to hog everything and cant handles them! But I think the problem lies in firefox,m opera and IE work fine with quicktime and flash

delete the ones you have installed.
