Default quick modem question

can any modem be used for sending and receving faxes? or do i need a specific "fax modem" for faxes?

i belive (others can feel free to correct me if i'm wrong) that any internal PCI modem will send allow you to send faxes.

Yeah, you can use a regular modem for sending and recieving faxes, you just have to set it up to do so in the control panel.

Does any one have their machine set up to get faxes threw the computer? I wanted to know how well it works. Or how it works? Will a window pop up when you are getting a fax or what? Thanks for the help
