Question Quick Floppy Drive Question

What wires do I need to fully connect the floppy drive to the system? Is it just 1 FDD cable?

This is the floppy drive I have http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16821103203
It has the FDD connection and a 4 pin connector as well, do I need to use the 4 pin connect for something? I don’t think I have that wire… or will the FDD cable provide the data transfer as well as the power?

Thanks

The four wires are for the power.
You can buy adapters anywhere.

Ok. Any of these will do...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...py+Round+Cable

This will connect to the big connector.

And the 4 pin connector connects to your PSU.

You should have one of these connectors coming from your PSU to connect to these pins.

Correct. You need to power the drive via the 4 pin connector.

This is the adaptor lead you would need if your PSU doesn't provide the floppy power connector already.

What PSU have you got?
