Ok, I just go the MSI P35 mobo and some DDR2 ram

to dual channel the ram I put one in the first green slot and one in the first orange slot right?

or both in the green or both in the orange?

It goes in 1 and 3

Im guessing they will be the same color.

You usually have 2 groups of DIMM slots.

And if your running 2 modules it's one in each group. As you've done.

QFT. My P5K is a bit more logical with the colour coding I think. You put two modules in the same colour slot for dual channel, on most other board, you put the modules in two different colour slots.

And if it doesnt work out, I don't think it will hurt you if you do it wrong, it just wont recognize your memory. I could be wrong.

It wont hurt your system and you won't kill your RAM modules.
