Question - Setting up a wireless adapter

My neighbor offered me access to his wireless router. Our houses are less than 20' apart so I receive a decent enough signal with my laptop through out my house.
Now I would like to get my desktop setup as well so I installed a D-Link wireless PCI adapter into my Compaq desktop (XP sp2). I followed the instructions that it came with. The adapter shows up in my device manager so I believe the drivers were properly installed.
My question is.. Now what??
How do I go about setting up my desktop to recognize his network that same way I do on the laptop? My laptop has an integrated wireless air card so accessing available networks has been a snap.
Note: I have his network password so I am not asking anyone on how I can hack into his router.

I hope this question makes sence.
Any help would be appreciated as my knowledge base of wireless networks is limited.

Thank you.. :)

You should be to use the wireless network wizard in control panel. Just follow the instructions.
