I'm a computer science student and I'm writing a paper and I need some quick info from you folks. I'd greatly appreciate any help I can get.
Just a couple of quick questions.
When you move a file say from one drive to another, what's happening in reality is that the computer first copies the file and then deletes the original right? I just need a quick confirmation on this.
Now is this sort of the same procedure with file encryption? Say I encrypt a file or move one into an encrypted folder. Is the file first copied and then the original deleted? Or a copy of it encrypted and the original deleted?
