Default Question about a monitor

Just wondering about this Acer monitor. Is this monitor full 1080p? I'm not up to snuff on all of this HD stuff. Is this monitor a HD monitor?

Most of the ones I have seen say something about a monitor being full 1080p somewhere in the title. This one does not but reading through reviews I see people mentioning that it is 1080.

Just not sure about what I am buying. I am planning on pairing this with a Sapphire 4870 x2 via an HDMI cable. Thank you in advance for all your help.

1080P=1920x1080. Since the monitor you posted is 1920x1200, there won't be any upscaling or downscaling. You'll notice when watching a 1080P movie that there will be black bars on the top and bottom of your screen.

Does that mean that the quality of video is the same between 1920x1080 and 1920x1200?

Just that at 1920x1200 HD stuff won't fill up the whole screen?

It's that the 1920x1080 stuff won't fill up the 1920x1200 screen.

The quality should be the same. In your case, it's just like watching a widescreen movie with letterboxes. Cool name btw! +rep!
