Question about Microsoft Works Suite

I have an old gateway 2002 mid tower with windows xp installed. I was going to do a clean reinstall to clean it out. I've lost my Microsoft works suite 2002 cd. Will I be alright without it when I have everything reinstalled. I know the big thing on it is Microsoft word. Will I be alright without it? My computer is basically used for the internet. My wife is a school teacher. But she said she can use the computer at the school if she needs to type out reports or papers.

i have the empty cd case with the key code on it, but not the CD. next time I remember to store my cds in a special spot.
