Default question about cleaning my compter

what is it on your computer that stores everything thats been on your computer? i thought it was the regisry, but a friend tells me ist more than that. any help would be greatly appreciated. reason i need it cleaned, my new girl is moving in and she knows a lot more about computers than me, and dont want her to find out that i used to look up scary amounts of porn lol.any help would be great, thanks.

It's called the HDD (Hard Disk Drive). However, to clean things such as that you probably are dealing with cookies, temporary data, and history. To solve this problem it's very simple. Go to the web-browser you used. Then go to options. If you used Mozilla, just clear Private Data. If you used IE, you have to go into internet options and depending on the version you have to click under each section (History, Cookies, Temporary Data, etc) and hit clear. If you downloaded the content, go to the destination folder, highlight the item, and while holding shift hit delete.
