Default question

Hey guys, i know this might not be the right part of the forum for this but i have seen on ebay people selling scrap computer part for gold recovery. What parts on the computer have gold? I thought it was all copper.

Circuit card connector contacts are many times plated with gold, but there is not a whole lot... we're talking fractions of a gram in a typical computer.

The interesting thing is that computer circuit boards contain more gold than most gold ore. The circuit board gold recovery process is very similar to that which is used for getting gold from gold ore.
