Default quadcore thermel past

how am i supost to apply it
like on the artic silver site it says for dual cores one straight line should i do a + ?????

oh and wat should the temps be?
also i heard that all intel cpus shut down if they got to hot so they dont damige themselves

My laptop Intel CPU shuts off at around 79C, It's happend probably about 20 times so they do have a fail-safe system. I'd keep close watch of the temps.

Actualy, all four cores are transfering the heat from that chunk of metal. I would do the same thing: Apply the same ammount o paste. About the size of a rice grain, cooked.
