Q6600 vs Q8200 vs XXXX?

Well im not planning on buying it unless i can get the total package of everything i want down (its at like 600 right now for the cpu mobo os hd and the case). Im waiting to see what goes on sale on black friday along with newegg's huge sale on 12/1. Whichever products go on sale will determine what im going to buy or if im going to buy at all.

So its better to buy a quick dual core processor rather than a q6600 then over clock it? (ive been reading on it and looking into cases that can provide the cooling needed and i think im going to end up OCing the 6600 when i get it)

The only new processors coming out are the i7's? Would that significantly drive down the price of the processors im reviewing to justify waiting for them to come out and become more mainstream? I wouldnt think so...
