I can't be bothered to repeat myself on the quad vs dual, but if you don't already have an Intel mobo, then I would recommend the Phenom 9850 Black Edition if you decide to go with a quad.

whys that intel current qaud beat that in bench marks didnt it?

I haven't got a motherboard yet....this computer is being built from the ground up. But I'm still not going with quad :P Thanks a lot for your help, worshipme.
