For basic and light stuff like emails, internet and documents it's good.

Watching movies, music and storing/editing pictures. I'll do the movies on my desktop.

i really like it, dedicated video, 12 cell battery (5:15 doing really basic stuff) and still pretty light and tiny since its only a 14.1" which is what I was looking for.

It's also expandable up to 8gb, so in the future you could buy SDRAM and put in some sticks, and HDMI which is a bonus.
