Default PSU problems

Hi I just bought a croshair cx 600 and knowing my luck it was dead when it arrived can anyone give me advice on what to do please. Thank you

I'll assume you mean Corsair CX600. Call tech support and request an RMA. Did you try shorting the green and one of the black in the mother board plug to see if it comes on?
If it does the switch in the case may be bad or you mis-wired the switch to the MB header.
It's either of those or you just have the damnest bad luck.

Sorry I'm a moron I just plugged it into the wall on its own and expected it to start :\ noob mistake I guess but it works now I have tested it thank you so much for your help
