I have a pc I'm repairing and I suspected it was the psu. I bought a psu tester it showed no voltage on the main plug. I had a new psu sitting around that was similar, put it in and the pc does not turn on. Any ideas on what it could be? Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for your quick reply, is there anyway other than wats goin on now to test for a dead motherboard? And could the psu on its way out short the mobo out?

It could have burned the mobo out if its a pos.

It actually could have burned everything out. The best way to test is just like you are doing, swapping parts.

Well i don't have a spare motherboard and stuff laying around. So I guess this will have to be the answer. Pc is old anyway. Thanx for the help.
