Exclamation PS2 Remote Networking

I have remote networking on my Emac. Whenever I turn on the DSL modem I have the PC will know and connect me to the internet without having to plug in a ethernet cable. I don't have a router either. I have setup my PS2 to the DNS, netmask, and I.P. adress and it won't let me connect and play online unless I plug in the ethernet cable with the DSL modem. I have searched google and nothing has worked. I was hoping you guys might know what to do.

gosh, I don't think PS2 is capable of wireless networking (although Xbox might be I think). I guess just get a really long cable, or rewire your house...
