Program choice...

Ok, well I actually don't know where this goes, so I'm posting it in here.
But anyways...
I'm just wondering if I should look into Photoshop cs 2, or Fireworks 8?
I'm going to have to figure out which one I wana buy, I've used fireworks before and found it works, but lots of people perfer Photoshop so I'm not sure.

Photoshop in general is a very popular software. That is what I would get.

Photoshop is more on rendering while fireworks is more on vectoring. They are different in other ways and if you wish to just edit a photo,go for photoshop but if you would like to create a perfect shape without pixelating,then go for fireworks. But there is a more accurate vector-based software and that is COREL Draw.
