Default Program choice...

Ok, well I actually don't know where this goes, so I'm posting it in here.
But anyways...
I'm just wondering if I should look into Photoshop cs 2, or Fireworks 8?
I'm going to have to figure out which one I wana buy, I've used fireworks before and found it works, but lots of people perfer Photoshop so I'm not sure.

Photoshop is more on rendering while fireworks is more on vectoring. They are different in other ways and if you wish to just edit a photo,go for photoshop but if you would like to create a perfect shape without pixelating, then go for fireworks. But there is a more accurate vector-based software and that is COREL Draw.
