Get the San Diego core. It's much better, plus, it uses a smaller die size, 90nm, unliek the Clawhammer which uses .13mm or 130nm if my conversions are correct. The only thing seperating the CPUs is the core. Other then that they are completely identical in nearly every single aspect. However, the San Diego is a much better processor.

Although, for the price of that Athlon 64 4000+, why not apply that money to the future? Get an Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Manchester Dual Core processor. It will blow that CPU right out of the water! It overclocks well and it's more future proof. I'd buy the 3800+ Manchester over the 4000+ San Diego any day.
